Yes, you can! Even if your original return was filed elsewhere, TaxSlayer allows you to amend returns through our platform. Here's how to get started:
1. Create or Log In to Your TaxSlayer Account
If you don’t already have an account, create one. Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of your My Account page.
2. Start a New Return for the Year You Want to Amend
- Select Start a New Tax Return under the year you wish to amend.
- You’ll be prompted to pay the original return preparation fee, which covers both federal and state returns.
- Prepare the return as it should have been filed, not as it was originally submitted.
If you’re not sure how to navigate the changes, we recommend using the Guide Me Wizard to assist you step by step.
