If you owe federal taxes, our program requires you to pay for your preparation fees by debit/credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover). You may also use a prepaid debit card if the bank involved is US based. We do not accept debit/credit card payments from a foreign bank. If you are due a tax refund, you may be able to use your tax refund to pay your filing fees through what is called File & Go. To learn more about File & Go, please see our article on the subject.
Why is my card being declined?
You must use a US based debit/credit card. If your card is declined and you are given an error code, please contact our Support Team for assistance. If the issue persists, you may be instructed to contact your bank or card issuer.
