f you're expecting a federal tax refund, you may be able to pay your TaxSlayer filing fees directly from that refund instead of paying upfront. This option, called File & Go, is available with paid TaxSlayer packages and lets a third-party bank deduct your tax preparation fees before sending the remaining refund to your bank account.
Important: Your federal refund must be large enough to cover both your TaxSlayer fees and any additional service fees associated with the refund transfer.
What Is File & Go?
File & Go allows eligible taxpayers to have their TaxSlayer fees deducted from their federal refund. Instead of paying at checkout with a debit or credit card, the fees are collected when your refund is processed.
This service is provided through Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (TPG), a third-party banking partner that handles the refund transfer.
Keep in mind that File & Go includes a separate processing fee charged by the bank.
