If you choose to use the "File & Go" option to have your tax preparation fees deducted from your refund during the final steps of the E-file process, please note the following:
To help prevent fraudulent income tax return filing, the third-party bank responsible for handling the refund transfer will only deposit funds into the same bank account from three different tax returns.
If you attempt to use the same banking information a fourth time, you will receive the following error message:
"The bank account information has already been used three times. Please enter a different account."
You will not be able to continue e-filing until a different bank account is entered. This security measure is in place for your protection and convenience.
Note: The IRS and state agencies generally will not deposit funds into a bank account unless the taxpayer and/or spouse are listed as account holders.
