The credit for taxes paid to another state is automatically calculated in your account when you add a Nonresident return to your already created resident Idaho return if you pay taxes to both Idaho and another state.
If you have a Part Year return added to your account, you must complete the requested information within the Idaho state Credits section. Please refer to the PDF copy of the other return to find the total tax and income amounts needed to make the manual entry.
Program Entry
To manually complete the Idaho credit for taxes paid to another state, follow the pathway below.
- Click State on the left side menu
- Click the three dots to the right and select edit
- Click "Begin" on Credits
- Click "Begin" on "Credits for Taxes Paid to Another State"
