If you filed a Nebraska Individual Income Tax Return (Form 1040N) and did not claim the School District Property Tax Credit and Community College Property Tax Credit, you may be able to use Form PTCX to claim those credits. You do not need to file an amended Nebraska return.
NOTE: You may only use Form PTCX if you filed an original Form 1040N with Nebraska and failed to claim the School District and Community College Property Tax Credits on your original Form 1040N.
If you have not filed a Form 1040N, you cannot use this form and must file an original tax return to claim the tax credit.
