Use this field to adjust estimated tax payments transferred from the federal return.
Notes
- Iowa withholding reported on Forms W-2 and 1099 is generally transferred from the federal return.
- Estimated tax payments are generally transferred from the federal return.
- If no adjustment to estimated payments is needed, leave the adjustment field blank.
- Complete and save the Iowa return before entering an amount to be applied to next year's taxes so the correct refund amount is available.
- If the amount entered exceeds the available refund, the amount will not transfer to the Iowa return.
- If the Iowa return results in a balance due, any amount entered to be applied to next year's taxes will not transfer to the return.
