If you selected Mailed Check as your state tax payment method during the e-file process, you have two options:
- Mail a check using the state payment voucher included with your return, or
- Pay electronically through your state's tax website (if available).
When you choose Mailed Check, our software automatically generates a state payment voucher as part of your state tax return PDF. The voucher includes important details such as:
- Where to mail your payment
- Who the check should be made payable to
- Any information your state requires to properly apply the payment to your tax account
Be sure to follow the instructions on the voucher to help avoid processing delays.
