If you owe federal taxes, you must pay for your TaxSlayer filing fees up front via debit/credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) before submitting your return. You may also use a prepaid debit card if the bank involved is US-based. We do not accept debit/credit card payments from a foreign bank.
If you are due a tax refund, you may be able to use your tax refund to pay your filing fees through a service called File & Go. You can also choose to pay your filing fees with a debit/credit card; if you are due a tax refund, it is up to you. To learn more about File & Go, please see our article on the subject.
Payment for your filing fees is either made during the E-file process before submitting your return. or made in advance using the Review > Print Results option on the left.
If you wish to pay and lock in a rate so the price does not change, and you are not ready to file, navigate to Review > Print Results using the menu on the left. Once you have paid your filing fees, you can print from the Review > Summary page.
