When completing your tax return, you will want to enter your current mailing address, even if it is different than what is showing on a form that you received, such as a W-2. Using your current address will ensure that the IRS can communicate with you via mailed correspondence.
Also, if the IRS is unable to deposit your funds into your bank account or you selected mailed check, the IRS will mail the check to the address on the return.
