Promotional codes are generally distributed through our marketing department throughout the tax season. Some of these promotions are to our new customers, loyal and returning customers.
Do you have a promo code I can use?
Our support staff does not have access to promotional codes. These promotions are always distributed via email. You can also find promotional codes through numerous coupon sites such as coupons.com, Groupon, etc.
What if I used the IRS Free File Alliance program?
The IRS Free File Alliance program is available to individuals that meet certain criteria. Accounts created using Free File do not qualify to add a promo code. If you no longer qualify for Free File, you would need to create a new account from the homepage and apply the promotional code as instructed below.
How do I enter a promo code on my account?
There are two ways to enter a promotional code on your account.
- Go to the ‘E-file’ section of your return, processed to the payment section of the e-file process, and select that you would like to pay by debit/credit card. Here you will be prompted to enter your promotional code on the ‘Total Charges Due’ page.
- Go to the ‘Summary/Print’ section of your return and click on view details to pay now. Here you will also be able to enter your promotional code.
Can I change the promo code on my account?
Once a promo code is entered into the program it locks in that discount. However, prior to payment you may select "Have a different promo code?" on the total charges due page to change the promo code that was entered. Please note that only one promo code may be applied at a time and discounts cannot be combined.
