Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be pursuing a degree or recognized credential
- Enrolled at least half-time for at least one academic period during the year
- No felony drug convictions
- Expenses must be for tuition, fees, and course materials
- Credit available for first four years of postsecondary education
- Only qualified education expenses count toward this credit.
- MAGI must be below phase-out thresholds:
- Single: $80,000–$90,000
- MFJ: $160,000–$180,000
