How do I adjust my Wisconsin return for unemployment income on my 2020 return?

Wisconsin law may allow you to subtract a certain amount of unemployment compensation that is included in your federal adjusted gross income, if your federal adjusted gross income exceeds a certain base amount.

Resident Return   

The program will automatically calculate the amount you can exclude on the Wisconsin Resident return.

Part-year and Nonresident Return

You will need to add the unemployment income to the account manually.

3. Income Subject to Tax
4. Enter Wisconsin portion of Unemployment Compensation
