Idaho filing and tax deadline dates for 2023 tax returns

The State of Idaho has issued the following guidance regarding income tax filing deadlines for individuals:

• The filing deadline is April 15th, 2023. 
  • If you pay enough of your total tax due by April 15th, you can get an automatic six-month extension.
    • To qualify for the extension you must pay 80% of the estimated taxes owed for 2023 or 100% of the tax reported on your 2022 return.
  • If you qualify for the extension, the return must be filed and taxes must be paid by the 15th of October.
