Can I e-file the M1PR form?
Yes, after completing the M1PR within the account, you can go to the E-file section of the account and electronically file the M1PR separately or with your other forms.
What if I forgot and already filed the state return?
If you forgot to complete the form and already filed the Minnesota return, complete the M1PR and visit the E-file section to electronically file the M1PR.
What do I do if my M1PR is rejected?
If the M1PR is rejected, you may make the corrections and electronically file the return again. If it is past October 15th, e-file may no longer be available. In this case, you would need to print, sign and mail the M1PR to the address on the bottom of the form.
How do I add my banking information?
Within the E-file section, you will be asked how you wish to receive your M1PR refund. The refund is not shown within the refund calculator on the main screen. To view the refund/amount due prior to e-filing, you must review the PDF. The PDF can be found in the Summary/Print section of your account.
Can I amend the M1PR form?

When is the last day I can file my M1PR?
For the 2023 tax year, the M1PR is due by August 15, 2024. The final deadline to claim a refund for the 2023 tax year is August 15, 2024.
When will I get my refund for my M1PR?
Refunds are issued on different days for renters and homeowners.
- Renters should receive their refund by the later of August 15th or 60 days of filing the return.
- Homeowners should receive their refund by the later of September 30 or 60 days of filing the return.
