If you are a part-year Ohio resident, you will need to adjust the SD-100 income to account for only the income earned while in Ohio. First, you will need to know if you lived in a traditional or earned income school district. You can look up your school district here.
How do I make the adjustment for a Traditional School District?
- Go to the State Section
- Select School District Tax Return
- Ohio SD-100
- School District Residency Status
- Choose your Part-year residency status for the Form SD-100
- Enter the dates of your Ohio residency for the tax year
If you selected Part Year Residency on the School District Residency menu and entered in the appropriate Residency Dates, the program will automatically calculate the number of days of Residency, then prorate the Modified Adjusted Gross income based on that number of Days.
How do I make the adjustment for an Earned Income School District?
- Go to the State Section
- Select School District Tax Return
- Ohio SD-100
- School District Residency Status
- Choose your Part-year residency status for the Form SD-100
- Enter the dates of your Ohio residency for the tax year
If you selected Part Year Residency on the School District Residency menu and entered in the appropriate Residency Dates, the program will automatically calculate the number of days of Residency, then prorate the OH Modified Adjusted Gross income based on that number of Days.
