If you are a part-year Ohio resident, you will need to adjust the SD-100 income to account for only the income earned while in Ohio. First, you will need to know if you lived in a traditional or earned income school district. You can look up your school district here.
How do I make the adjustment for a Traditional School District?
- Go to the State Section
- Ohio >Part Year Return
- Form SD-100
- Complete SD-100
- Add New (or Edit if you already have one)
- Enter the filing status for the SD-100 Form
- Traditional Tax Base
- Amount of Traditional Base Earned While Not a Resident of School District
- Enter the income earned outside of the traditional school district
How do I make the adjustment for an Earned Income School District?
- Go to the State Section
- Ohio >Part Year Return
- Form SD-100
- Complete SD-100
- Add New (or Edit if you already have one)
- Earned Income Tax Base
- Enter wages and salaries, if any , earned while a resident of an Earned Income School District
- Amounts entered will override the amount pulled automatically from the account
