- Other Subtractions
- Military Pay Attributable to Active Duty in Combat Zone (from drop-down menu)
- Enter Subtraction Amount
- Click Continue to save your entries
What is this?
If you received Active Duty Military Pay attributable to a Combat Zone and it is has not been deducted from your federal return, you may claim the subtraction on the Virginia tax return.
What else do I need to know?
Military pay must have been earned while serving by order of the President of the United States in a combat zone or qualified hazardous duty area treated as a combat zone for federal tax purposes.
