What is this?
Enter the amount of disability income reported as wages (or payments in lieu of wages) and included on your federal return for permanent and total disability up to a maximum of $20,000. If you are filing a joint return, each spouse can exclude the maximum $20,000.
Where do I enter it?
- State Section
- Subtractions from Income
- Disability Income reported as Wages
What else do I need to know?
If you claim this subtraction from income for disability income, you cannot claim the age deduction; however, if you are filing a joint return, each spouse may choose to claim either one and do not both need to make the same claim.
