The credit for taxes paid to another state is automatically calculated in your account when you add a Nonresident return and have already created your Resident South Carolina return. The credit will calculate only if you paid taxes to both South Carolina and the other state.
If your other state is a Part-Year return, you must manually add this credit by going to:
- State
- Select 3 dots next to your SC return
- "Edit"
- Credits
- Credit for Other State Taxes
South Carolina may request a copy of the other state's tax return before processing the return. Please see the South Carolina Department of Revenue website for more information.
