What are the requirements?
You must be a Connecticut resident who paid qualifying property tax on the home and/or motor vehicle AND:
- You (or your spouse if filing a joint return) are 65 years of age or older by the end of the taxable year.
- You claim one or more dependents on your federal tax return
How much is the credit?
The maximum credit allowed (on your primary residence or motor vehicle, or both) is $300 per return regardless of filing status.
