How do I report my business income or loss on my Virginia Nonresident return?

Your business income or loss is automatically pulled to the Virginia Resident return. However, if you are a nonresident of Virginia and you have business income or loss that is attributable to Virginia, a manual entry needs to be made.  

To allocate the business income or loss:

1. Go to the State Section 
2. Nonresident Virginia return
3. Income Subject to Tax
4. Enter Business Income/(Loss) attributable to Virginia
