This includes taxable pensions and all other income reported on your Federal return that you received while a resident of Virginia and Virginia source income made during your period of non-residency.
Taxable Pensions include:
- Taxable IRA distributions
- Taxable Pensions and Annuities
Other Income includes:
- Refunds of state and Local income taxes
- Alimony received
- Business income/(loss)
- Capital gains/(losses) and distributions
- Rental real estate, royalties, partnership, S-corporations, trusts, etc.
- Farm income/(loss)
- Unemployment income
- any other income included on Federal return
Virginia Source Income includes:
- Income from businesses is located in Virginia that produce Virginia based income
- Income from rental property that is located in Virginia
- Income from partnerships, S-corporations, etc. that are based in Virginia and the income is derived in Virginia
- Income from farms that are located in Virginia
