Once you prepare your return, you will be able to print your return for three years from the date of the original filing deadline as we only keep record of the current year and three prior years. However, where the return can be found will change after October 15th of the current filing year.
Before October 15
To print your current year return before October 15:
- Log in to your account
- Click the printer icon next to your return status on the My Account screen
- A PDF of your accepted return will open in a new window
- From there, you can view, print, or save your return
After October 15th
After October 15th, the current tax return will be archived within the "Prior Years" tab located on your "Tax Home" screen. This is due to the release of the new program for the upcoming tax season. To print:
- Log into your account
- Use the three dots to select View under the desired tax year within the Tax Returns section at the bottom
- Click Print and choose the return you wish to view
If this option is not available, the return was not successfully e-filed. You will need to select Access Return and go to the Summary/Print screen to print a copy of the return.
Printing the Current Version of Your Return
If you want to print the version of your return as it currently appears in your account (which may differ from the accepted version if changes were made):
- Log in to your account
- Access your return
- Select Review > Summary from the navigation bar
- Click on "Print Return" to view the PDF of your return as it has currently been prepared.
This will generate the Federal and any state returns in one document. If you made changes to the account, the return may not be the same as the accepted return.
