According to the Indiana instructions:
An Indiana resident is an individual that maintains a legal residence in the state for the entire year. If you live in Indiana only part of the year but maintain a home full year, keep your Indiana driver's license and/or keep your Indiana voting rights, you are considered a resident.
A Nonresident of Indiana is an individual that is not domiciled in Indiana and is a resident of another state.
A Part-Year Resident is an individual that moved into or out of Indiana during the year.
If one spouse is a resident and the other is not and a joint federal return was filed, file a joint nonresident return.
