If you are a Military Service member or Federal civilian employee, your W-2 may contain codes and dollar numbers in Box 14. You will need to interpret them to enter them into your return. Here are the meanings to assist you.
C = Taxable Permanent Change of Station (Included in Box 1)
E = Military TSP contribution (Tax Exempt) *MOST COMMON
F = TIAA/CREF and Fidelity Retirement
G = Pre-tax Transportation Equity Tax
H = Home to work transportation fringe benefits (included in Box 1)
K = Pre-tax dental and vision deductions
P = Parking Fringe Benefits/Employer Provided Vehicle (Included in Box 1)
R = Retirement Deductions (Civilian employees who have wages earned in Puerto Rico)
S = FEHB Employee Deductions (Civilian employees who have wages earned in Puerto Rico)
T = COLA (not included in Box 1 or 16) (Civilian employees who have wages earned in Puerto Rico)
U = Non-cash taxable fringe benefits (Included in Box 1)
V = Pre-tax FEHB Incentive
X = Occupational tax (civilian)
Y = Pre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts
Z = Retirement Deductions (for Civilian Employees who are residents of the state of Massachusetts)
Within your account, enter the Box 14 information under 'Other (Not Listed Here)' if none of the other descriptions apply.
