TaxSlayer provides three options when it comes to changing the email address associated with your account. Each option depends on your unique situation. If you are able to access your TaxSlayer account, you can change the email from within. If you know your username and password but your email address has changed, there is an option to update your email address while attempting to login to your account. The last option is to complete an Email Change Request Form if you are unable to login to your account and no longer have access to your email address on file.
How can I change my email address during the login process?
If you know your username and password, you can enter your email change request on the login page. On that same page asking how you wish to receive your code, there will be a blue hyperlink asking "Can't access your email?" Click on the link to be taken to a page where you can request your email address on file to be changed. Once you fill out the corresponding boxes, press the green Submit button at the bottom of the page to transmit your information electronically. Once we process your request, you will receive an email from us.
In the account
To change your email address within your account
- Go to the homepage and log into the account
- From the left hand side menu, click on Settings
- Select Account Information
- Edit the Current Email Address and provide the new email address that you would like associated with your account.
- Once the new email address has been entered, select Continue to save this information.
From the Edit Account Information page, you can also update your Mailing Address, and Password (between 8 and 16 characters).
