Our "I want to be guided" feature is designed to guide you through the tax return process to make reporting your information easier. You should use the "I want to be guided" feature for any section in which you:
- Are not sure how to enter certain forms that you have received
- Would like guidance by being asked simple questions, or
- Are not sure how reporting certain forms can affect your taxes for the year
This feature will be available after you enter the Personal Information Filing Status page. As you continue to set up your account and work through the sections of the return (Income, Deductions, etc.), you will be asked if you would like to use the "I want to be guided" feature or if you would like to "Select my Forms." If a specific section does not apply to you, please leave it blank; do not enter zero.
Once you complete each section, you can reaccess the "I want to be guided" feature by clicking either Federal or Deductions heading from the navigation menu.
How do I get back to the Income questions?
If, during the guided process, you wish to stop using it or restart, select the "Restart/Exit Guide" button.
