When you e-file your return, you have the option to pay any amount due to the state or IRS by debit card or mailed check.
Mailed Check
Taxpayers can choose to pay the amount due by mailing their payment. This payment is generally in the form of check or money order. In the program, the taxpayer would elect the pay by check method and not enter any banking information.
Debit Card
Taxpayers can choose to pay the amount due by debit card or electronic withdrawal. When this option is selected, the taxpayer will enter their banking information into the program when asked how they wish to pay the federal/state amount due. This is different then the payment for the program.
Credit Card
Our program does not offer the option to pay by credit card. However, you can pay the amount due by credit card on the IRS or state websites.
Federal - If you'd like to pay your federal taxes with a credit or debit card, you can do so through one of the service providers listed on the IRS website. Please keep in mind that our program is not affiliated with these providers and is not responsible for any transactions made through them. Credit card payments will incur a convenience fee based on the tax amount, while debit card payments will have a flat fee. Fees and accepted card types may vary by provider.
State - Each state has its own procedures for tax payments. Please check your state’s website for available options.
