How do I apply my amended return refund to next year's tax liability?

If you are expecting a refund on your amended return and wish to apply the refund to next year's return, you need to do so in the Amended Return feature. 

Program Entry

• Federal Section 
• Amended Return 
• Original Federal Return Information
• Amount of refund you would like applied to next year's estimated taxes

This amount will appear on line 23 of the 1040X form.
